AX2-DF
The AX2-DF (Double Flux / Dual Flow) is a mixing impeller specially developed for applications requiring a high circulation capacity in viscous or complex products. Its design combines a main axial impeller with secondary rear blades generating a controlled reverse flow. This architecture makes it possible to create a double circulation loop of the fluid, improving material renewal throughout the tank. This technology limits dead zones, improves heat transfer and optimizes the homogenization of high-viscosity products or those with complex rheological behavior. Thanks to its high pumping capacity at low speed, the AX2-DF makes it possible to obtain efficient mixing while limiting shear and energy consumption.
AX2-DF impeller design
Definition basis: Thin-blade profiled double impeller
Number of blades: 3
Direction of rotation: Clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the desired flow)
Flow of AX2-DF agitation impellers – Use
Down-pumping flow (axial flow down):
Vertical from top to bottom at the center of the impeller combined with a vertical flow from bottom to top at the periphery (axial predominance).
The agitator equipped with a down-pumping AX2-DF can only be mounted centered in a tank without baffles (only for viscous product mixtures).
Moderate shearing effect at maximum speed (medium peripheral speed).
Applications:
Mixing, heat transfer, simple dissolution, homogeneous maintenance and in suspension.
Up-pumping flow (axial flow up):
Vertical from bottom to top at the impeller center combined with a vertical flow from top to bottom at the periphery (axial predominance).
Bubbling on the liquid surface.
The agitator equipped with an up-pumping AX2-DF can only be mounted centered in a tank without baffles (only for viscous product mixtures).
Moderate shearing effect at maximum speed (medium peripheral speed).
Applications:
Mixing, heat transfer, simple dissolution, homogeneous maintenance and in suspension.
